At the MIAA All-State Meet on Saturday, two individuals and a relay earned medals.  Mia Toffoli finished 3rd in the 600m, running 1:35.94.  Alex Sullivan placed 4th in the 1000m in a new school record of 2:32.10.  The girls 4x400 relay team of Adrienne Pascucci, Toffoli, Emma Larson and Phoebe Hopkins finished 5th in 4:02.79.  Team results and top-10 additions are listed below.

The Northampton Indoor Track and Field season continues this Saturday at the All-State Meet.  The Blue Devils had eight individual qualifiers and two relays advance to the meet after the Division 3 Championship.  Complete performance lists are available for the boys and the girls.  Saturday's meet begins at 11 AM for the field events and 11:30 AM for the running events.

The Northampton Indoor Track and Field teams had a successful MIAA Division 3 Championship Meet on Saturday.  The girls tied their best finish ever, placing 4th with 35.5 points.  The boys were 11th with 16 points.  In the meet, Alex Sullivan broke his own school record in the 1000m yet again, placing 3rd in 2:33.78.  For the girls, Mia Toffoli was the top finisher, placing 2nd in the 600 while Phoebe Hopkins was 4th.  Charlotte Lellman broke her own 2 mile school record, placing 4th in 11:30.99.  The girls 4x200 relay of Casey Keedy, Emily King, Emily Hannigan-Page and Catherine Lamond broke the school record by over a second, running 1:49.58 to place 5th.  Adrienne Pascucci broke her own 55m hurdles school record running 9.41 in the preliminaries.  The top 3 in each event automatically qualify for the All-State Meet next weekend and the next 12 best performances advance as well.  Sullivan, Toffoli, and the girls 4x4 all automatically qualified.  It is expected that many other members of the team will be competing at the state meet after qualifying based on their performances.  When seeds are announced, they will be posted on the team website.

While the indoor season is still going on, we wanted to provide some initial information on the outdoor track and field season.  The preliminary schedules for both the boys and girls are available on the schedule page of the team website.  In addition, the preseason meeting for outdoor track and field will be held on March 3rd at 2:15 PM in the high school cafeteria.  All interested athletes should attend this meeting.  Spring sport forms are available on the Hamp High website here and are due to Mr. Miller by February 21.
 
 
The Boys Indoor Track and Field team was victorious at the Western Mass Championships for the 4th year in a row, scoring 68 points to win the meet by over 20 points.  Individual winners for the Blue Devils were Chris Gonzalez in the 55m (6.82) and Alex Sullivan in the 1000m (2:42.20).  The 4x800m squad of Sam Coates-Finke, Harrison Hunter, Sam Shanky and Ian Lutz also finished 1st (8:44.16).

The girls finished just shy of 1st place as East Longmeadow scored 91.17 points to 83.67 for the Blue Devils.  Adrienne Pascucci won the high jump (5'1") and Mia Toffoli won the 1000m (3:04.61) for Northampton.  The 4x400 squad of Pascucci, Phoebe Hopkins, Galit Sarvet and Toffoli won the meet in 4:14.49.
