The girls defeated Minnechaug 94-51 to move to 6-0 on the season.  Adrienne Pascucci won 3 individual events and was on the winning 4x400 relay while Phoebe Hopkins also won 3 events.  Complete results are below.

Back in action after April Vacation the Northampton Boys Track and Field team won a tough meet against Central and Minnechaug.  The Blue Devils scored 80 points, Central had 70 and Minnechaug scored 31.  A sweep in the 2 mile clinched the meet for Northampton.  Complete results are below.

For the first time ever, Northampton hosted the Dr. George Steele Relays.  The Blue Devils performed well in their home facility, bringing home five 1st place finishes and four school records.  For the boys, the 3xJavelin team of Jared Murphy, Nate Ogulewicz and Jon Scott shattered the old school record by over 70 feet, winning with a team total of 406'2".  The boys also finished first and second in the distance medley relay.  The team of Sam Shanky, Alex Cahillane, Alex Sullivan and Ian Lutz placed first in 10:55.3 - the fastest time since 1974 for a Blue Devil squad.  In second place was Harrison Hunter, Tim Callahan, Sam Coates-Finke and Charlie Hale in 11:47.7.

For the girls, the 3xHigh Jump team of Casey Keedy, Adrienne Pascucci and Leah Tompkins won with a school record mark of 14'3.5".  On the track, the 4x1600 team of Nora Letendre, Charlotte Lellman, Emma Jenkins-Sullivan and Vivi Ford easily won with a school record of 23:18.1.  The Sprint Medley Relay squad of Keedy, Emily Hannigan-Page, Phoebe Hopkins and Emma Larson just missed the school record, winning in a time of 4:27.9.

In a hard-fought meet on a rainy day, the Northampton Girls Track and Field team ran its record to 5-0 by scoring 95.5 points to defeat Mohawk (76.5) and New Leadership (9).  The Blue Devils were led by three first place wins from Adrienne Pascucci and sweeps in the mile and two mile.  Northampton returns to action with the Steeele Relays on Saturday.

The Northampton Girls Track and Field team moved to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the division with a 90-55 victory over Longmeadow.  Phoebe Hopkins won the long jump, triple jump and the 400m hurdles.  Leah Tompkins jumped a personal-best 5'0" to win the high jump.  The Blue Devils swept the long jump and 800m to secure the win.  It is a short turnaround for the girls with a tri-meet Wednesday against Mohawk and New Leadership.

The Northampton girls track and field team was finally able to get a meet in around the inclement weather.  On a cloudy and windy afternoon, the Blue Devils scored 122 points from 25 different athletes to defeat Central (43) and Cathedral (12).  Adrienne Pascucci won 4 events and Northampton won both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.  Complete meet results are below.

Due to the snow, the girls meet against Longmeadow scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed.  The meet will be rescheduled for Monday, April 4 at 4 PM.

Practice for both the boys and girls teams will run from 3-5 today.  Meet outside the trainer's room.
