On a busy Saturday for the Northampton Track and Field Teams, freshman Alex Dibrindisi had an impressive day as she earned three medals at the MSTCA Large School Freshman-Sophomore Invitational. In the long jump, Dibrindisi posted a personal best by a foot, jumping 16'3.5" to grab third in the meet and establish a new freshman record. Dibrindisi also finished fourth in the 400m. In the last event of the day, she anchored the 4x400 team to a five-second victory, teaming up with sophomores Anna Moore and Khaila Ramirez and fellow freshman Sophie Sharp. Ramirez also earned a medal in the 400m earlier in the meet, placing 5th.
For the boys, Aidan Gilson (800m) and Ben Hill (2 Mile) established new freshmen records in their respective events.
At the Weston Twilight Meet, junior Leah Tompkins tied for second in the high jump, clearing 5'0" after running her personal best in the 400m hurdles. Also earning a medal was senior Alex Sullivan who placed 6th in the 800m.
