The Northampton Track and Field Teams made their first trips to the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on Thursday competing in both the Team Pentathlon and the Holiday Qualifier.  In the morning at the Team Pentathlon, the girls upperclassmen squad placed 4th while the freshmen were 10th. Adrienne Pascucci broke her own school record in the 55m HH in the meet running 9.31.  The boys team finished 5th in the meet.

In the Holiday Qualifier, the girls 4x400 team of Pascucci, Sophie Sharp, Alex Dibrindisi and Mia Toffoli won by over seconds.  The relay posted the 2nd fastest time in the state this season, running 4:14.66.  Josh Hirschman improved on his own personal best in the 55m HH running 8.93 - fourth-best in school history.

The girls posted eight personal bests, seven Western Mass qualifiers and five Division 3 qualifiers in the two meets.  The boys had five personal bests, seven Western Mass qualifiers and three Division 3 qualifiers on the day.  All-Time Top-10 additions and Northampton results from both meets are below.

Moving outside due to the construction at Smith College, the Northampton track and field program had its Second Annual Blue-Gold-Alumni Meet today.  It was great to see everyone who came back!  The Alumni Boys won the meet with 47 points.  The Gold Team was second with 29 points thanks to winning both the Sprint Medley Relay and the Throwers SMR as the Blue Team finished with 28 points.  The girls meet came down to the relays also as winning the Throwers SMR clinched the meet for the Gold Team with 40 points.  The Blue Team scored 38 points while the Alumni Team scored 15 points.  Complete meet results are below.  Thanks again for all who came to the meet!

In the second meet of the season, the Northampton Girls defeated Minnechaug 64-31 and Chicopee Comp 85-10 Friday night.  The boys topped Chicopee Comp 62-33, but fell to Minnechaug 53-42.  The girls had 16 Western Mass Qualifiers and 5 Division III qualifiers.  The boys added eight Western Mass Qualifiers and Alex Sullivan qualified in the 600m for the Division III meet.  All-Time Top-10 additions are below and the complete lists are updated on the Records page.  Team results will be up later this weekend.

Friday night at Smith College the boys and girls indoor track and field teams began their season by defeating Westfield.  The boys won 63-32 and the girls won 62-33.  The boys had 10 Western Mass Qualifiers and Alex Sullivan qualified for the D3 1000m.  The girls posted 11 Western Mass Qualifiers and Mia Toffoli (600), Adrienne Pascucci (55m HH), and Leah Tompkins (HJ) all qualified for the D3 Meet.  Complete qualifiers are available on the indoor invitationals page.  Northampton results are below along with All-Time Top-10 additions.  In addition, the link to Bob Gardner's meet pictures is below.

It is time for our Second Annual Northampton Blue-Gold Alumni Meet! All Northampton cross country and track and field alumni are invited to return to indoor track and field practice for our annual intersquad meet before December break. Smith is resurfacing its track so we will have the meet at the high school track. The meet will happen as long as the weather is good.
