Northampton has made a change in its requirements for athletes with the Impact Pre-Concussion Testing. Athletes will now have to be tested prior to their freshman and junior years or before their first season of athletic competition at the high school. This means that even if an athlete has taken the test before, they will have to retake it prior to their junior year. Athletes that have not taken the test will not be permitted to practice.
The first time that is scheduled for athletes to take the Impact test is Tuesday, June 21. Cross country is scheduled for 6:50 PM for the testing at the high school. All freshmen, juniors and any new athletes to high school sports are encouraged to take the test at this time or they will have to take it later in the summer before they are permitted to practice or attend MTT.
