Hosting the Steele Relays for Western Mass yesterday the Northampton boys and girls track and field teams had a very successful day.  The boys 3 x shot put team of Ives Fisher, Nate Oguelwicz and Alex Subocz captured first place by over six feet.  Oguelwicz teamed up with Hamza Butt and Danny Mam to win the 3 x javelin in one of the closest competitions of the day over Longmeadow by four inches.  For the girls, Adrienne Pascucci, Kate Sector and Leah Tompkins finished first in the 3 x 100m Shuttle Hurdles edging Longmeadow.  Pascucci joined Alex Dibrindisi and Sophie Sharp in the 3 x Long Jump as the trio edged Holyoke by just over 4 inches.

Individually, Sharp had the longest triple jump of the day of any girl at the meet by over a foot, moving up to 7th in school history.  Classmate Lily Zogbaum set a personal best by a foot in the pole vault to finish first in the meet.

Setting school records for the Blue Devils was the boys 3 x pole vault team of Marcus Neverson, Ethan Hack-Chabot and Ryan Dean.  The girls 3 x javelin all-freshman team of Maggie Mahoney, Izzy Ness and Paris Smith also set a new school record.
