The 2011-12 Indoor Track and Field schedule is now up on the Schedule page. This schedule has the meets and the practice schedule for the season. Remember to get your athletic forms in to Mr. Miller this week to make sure you are eligible to practice on November 28. Add Comment Due to the snowstorm that hit the Pioneer Valley the PVIAC Championships on Saturday have been moved from Stanley Park in Westfield to Holyoke Community College. Race times are as follows: 1:00 Girls JV 2:00 Boys JV 3:00 Girls Varsity 3:40 Boys Varsity The bus will leave from the stadium parking lot at 10:15 AM. Due to the snow, the girls meet against Longmeadow scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed. The meet will be rescheduled for Monday, April 4 at 4 PM. Practice for both the boys and girls teams will run from 3-5 today. Meet outside the trainer's room. While the indoor season is still going on, we wanted to provide some initial information on the outdoor track and field season. The preliminary schedules for both the boys and girls are available on the schedule page of the team website. In addition, the preseason meeting for outdoor track and field will be held on March 3rd at 2:15 PM in the high school cafeteria. All interested athletes should attend this meeting. Spring sport forms are available on the Hamp High website here and are due to Mr. Miller by February 21. The Boston Holiday Challenge has been postponed to Tuesday, December 28 due to the snowstorm. The meet will now begin with field events at 1:45 and running events at 2:30. All athletes that were entered need to contact Coach Kraft to let him know if they can attend as well as if we still have enough drivers for the meet. The PVIAC Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday at Stanley Park in Westfield. The bus for the athletes leaves from the stadium parking lot at 10:15 AM. The order of the races is: 1:00 JV Girls 2:00 JV Boys 3:00 Varsity Girls 3:40 Varsity Boys The bus is only going one way so we will need parents to help drive athletes back to Northampton. Shifting gears, the tentative indoor track and field schedule is now posted on the Schedule page. Remember, the preseason meeting will be held on Monday, November 8 at 2:15 PM in the high school cafeteria. Cross country season is now underway with the largest team in school history! We had a great MTT for the upperclassmen in Vermont and yesterday was the first day with the entire squad. Wednesday at 7 PM will be the Parents-Coaches meeting at the high school. We ask that at least one parent of each athlete attend.
